The 2022 – 2024 model years Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe as wells as the 2022 -2024 model years GMC Sierra and Yukon have serious problems with their infotainment systems. Specifically, the infotainment systems have the following problems including, but not limited to – volume not working; radio station presets not appearing; infotainment screen goes blank; phone connectivity problems; etc. General Motors LLC (GM) is aware of these infotainment system problems but is unable to fix them. In a GM Technical Service Bulletin (PIT6101E) related to the volume problems, GM advises repair facilities to ” . . . . apologize for this inconvenience and (inform the customer) that General Motors is working on a solution for this concern.”
In certain circumstances, in order for the infotainment system to operate at all, the system must be reset and the vehicle power shut off. The driver must then exit the vehicle and wait for several minutes before entering the vehicle and restarting it. Then, after taking these steps, hope the infotainment system works.
If you have one of these Chevrolet or GMC vehicles, bought or leased the vehicle in California and are having infotainment system problems, you may have a vehicle that qualifies for remedies under the California Lemon Law.
